Online Safety, Innovation and Digital Transformation
Since 2020, the development of digital education platforms has enabled millions of children to access the internet with minimal control or guidance from their families or teachers. To protect children from new risks such as child pornography, virtual harassment or child trafficking, we have developed educational materials for children, in South America. The aim is to raise awareness among children and parents ensuring adequate identification and support in case of abuse. In 2021, the entire course was converted into infographics that were distributed in educational centres in La Paz, El Alto, Potosí, Cochabamba and Sucre.
In Peru, we also participated in the national campaign, Conectate sin riesgo, in partnership with the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations. The campaign reached over 600,000 people.

| Resilience Innovation Facility | Terre des Hommes Foundation in Lausanne
In 2021, we put innovation and digital transformation at the heart of its work to best respond to the evolving environment and the needs of children all over the world. A Resilience Innovation Facility space was built, including a Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab), with 3D printers for co-creation, manufacturing and digital learning. The aim of the spaces is to help children and young people develop life skills and techniques; empower them and promote resilience and entrepreneurship.
Poverty pushes most parents to send their children to the mines here.
Since he discovered the FabLab nearby he has been learning new things, such as IT, agriculture techniques and 3D printing, and he now has new hopes for the future.
I dream of one day owning my own repair shop for mobile phones, computers and other devices. I also dream of owning my own 3D printer and training other children so that they can leave the mines too.
